Defiant is hiring an AI Creative Strategist to help shape how AI is integrated across the agency’s creative and strategic workflows.

Working closely with the founder and creative team, you’ll identify opportunities to improve how ideas are developed, briefs are written, creative is produced and campaigns move from concept to execution – using AI to streamline, enhance and scale the process.

This role sits at the intersection of creative strategy, systems thinking and emerging technology. It’s less about being the most technical person in the room and more about deeply understanding the creative process and knowing how AI can meaningfully improve it.

We’re looking for someone who has lived inside performance creative, someone who understands the realities of briefing, ideation, copywriting, production and iteration at scale. The value comes from knowing the work first, then applying AI in a way that actually makes the output better.

In this role, you will:

• Build and refine AI-powered workflows across creative strategy and production
• Develop prompt libraries, frameworks and internal systems the team can use daily
• Identify inefficiencies and improve how work moves across the agency
• Explore and test emerging AI tools across copy, image, video and workflow automation
• Collaborate with creative, strategy and leadership teams to improve output quality and speed
• Help shape how a modern performance agency operates in an AI-first environment

AI workflows are embedded into the way the agency creates, strategises and delivers work.

The team is producing stronger creative, faster and more efficiently, without compromising quality. Internal systems are clear, repeatable and genuinely useful. You’re proactively bringing new ideas, tools and workflows to the table and helping the agency stay ahead of where the industry is heading.

You’re a creative strategist at heart, with a genuine interest in AI and how it can transform creative work.

You might come from a performance creative, copywriting, strategy or content background, but you’ve become increasingly focused on building smarter systems and workflows around the work itself.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Experience developing performance creative or creative strategy within an agency or brand environment
• Strong understanding of what makes creative effective across paid social and digital channels
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and workflows across copy, ideation, research, image or video generation
• A systems-oriented mindset and curiosity for improving how work gets done
• The ability to balance speed, experimentation and creative quality
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
