Senior Account Executive

We’re proud to be partnering with Defiant Digital, a Sydney-based performance agency behind the growth of brands including DoorDash, Swyftx, Geedup and more than 300 high-growth DTC and eCommerce businesses. As the agency continues to scale, they’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Account Executive to help convert strong inbound demand into long-term client partnerships.

LIFE AT DEFIANT

Defiant works with some of the most commercially interesting brands in the Australian DTC and eCommerce space. The inbound engine is running; your job is to close what comes through it. You’ll be based in Sydney and be rewarded with a competitive salary and commission structure.

This is a growth-focused sales role centred around converting inbound opportunities into signed agency engagements.

You won’t be responsible for campaign execution or day-to-day account management. Instead, you’ll focus on building relationships with qualified leads, understanding commercial objectives and guiding businesses through the sales process with confidence and clarity.

You’ll be working with founders, CMOs and growth leaders from established DTC and eCommerce brands, helping them understand how Defiant can support their next stage of growth.

In this role, you will:

• Manage and convert high-quality inbound leads
• Build tailored proposals and commercial recommendations
• Lead discovery and strategy conversations with senior stakeholders
• Present confidently to founders and executive teams
• Work closely with leadership to progress opportunities through the pipeline
• Contribute to the continued growth of one of Australia’s leading performance agencies

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Success in this role means building strong client relationships and consistently converting qualified opportunities into long-term partnerships.

You’ll maintain a healthy pipeline and move fast, communicating value clearly and bringing a strategic commercial mindset to every conversation. As you grow into the role, there is strong earning potential and clear progression opportunities within the business.

You’ve spent at least four years in a closing role at a digital agency or performance marketing firm, and you have the receipts. You’ve closed deals of significant size and you can walk anyone through your best pitch with clarity and conviction.

You understand performance marketing as a service category from the inside. You build your own proposals, you’re comfortable in front of founders, self-directed and accountable to numbers.
