ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a senior strategist seat, not an executor seat. As Senior Digital Strategist, you’ll own the client relationship end-to-end across paid media, creative, CRO, landing pages, email and SMS. There are specialist teams behind you, media buyers, creative strategists, CRO practitioners, retention specialists and your job is to set the direction and make sure every channel is pulling toward the same goal.

That means running the meetings, presenting the strategy and being the senior, thoughtful partner every client deserves. Account management is a real weight in this role and you’ll own it from onboarding through to retention.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

You’re tracking pacing daily across every channel and course-correcting before anyone has to ask you. Weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to clients is clear and commercial; it articulates performance and Defiant’s value in plain language. The Head of Strategy hears from you weekly on account health, wins and risks. Your clients grow and more importantly, they stay. 

ABOUT YOU

You’ve spent 7+ years in digital agencies and personally managed millions in adspend profitably – now you’re ready to step into a strategy role where you direct a team of specialists who execute on your vision. You’re expert-level across Meta Ads and Google Ads, solid on TikTok or YouTube, and you understand how CRO, lifecycle marketing and DTC funnel dynamics fit together. Klaviyo, GA4 and Shopify are second nature.

More importantly, you can hold a room with founders and CMOs. When something breaks, you come with the fix already in hand. You can brief a creative team, align a media buyer and speak to contribution margin, all in the same day.
